RARE- GAMAGES DELUXE Foreign - Precision Sewing & Embroidery Machine (Cased). A Modernised & Improved Singer 15K Copy. This sewing machine & case / base have been Anti-Bacterially Sanitised & it will have a.
The disinfectant's odour will fade-away, or you may wish to change it with your own chosen flavour. Decades before the pandemic's appearance, this machine has seen the light of day / been last used. It is in Good (+) condition & in preservation state (caked-up oil on most parts). It works, but the embroidery not tested due to the selector-switch being stuck by dry oil (visible). This is a full-size & weight / cast-iron / all-metal Precision Sewing & Embroidery Machine. It is branded "Deluxe" & for good reason as it seems to be well finished in many details. It does have fitted Stainless Steel Ball Oilers on top x5 pieces for the avoidance of lint & dust. It appears the previous owner has regularly oiled it & thus the caked-up oil.Even caked-up it does fly at full electric power, if need be, but it is NOT electrically P. This machine & motor is the earthed version including earthed cables & plugs. I recommend the cables & mains-plug changed to the newer electric spec. (& White / Cream colour).
The motor rubber belt is OK-ish & does the job, but with tinny little cracks in it due to age. The light works & the bulb is missing, but it takes normal house-hold bayonet type bulb. The light's switch functions despite being stiff from lack of use or factory settings or age?
The exterior of the case & base has seen better days after been in storage for decades. The UV light or / & Sun appears to have discoloured the textile wrapped on the case & it looks dirty. The interior of the case containing wrapped textile is a darker shade colour to the exterior. There is some damage to an upper corner / side due to laminating sheets coming loose (Sun damage). The base's interior looks good for the age & conditions preserved, but it could be painted Cream? The case & base's exterior metal parts (Cheney - England) have light rust pitting, but in functioning condition. I have Carbon-Dated the lint accumulated beneath & it shows 1974 (just kidding). Side by side & weight wise, it is identical size to the vintage / antique original, despite the plastic colour.
As you can see, it is a close Singer 15K copy, with several. Upgrades that make it's use even more pleasant.
I will not service it & remove the caked-up oil, but leave the pleasure to the next owner. It has had little use & has plenty of life in it, if anybody is interested in getting it to semi-professional use.
It comes with case / base / electric foot control & cables / Instruction Manual / x1 bobbin & x1 needle. The Black Singer 201K in the photographs is not included in the price & only as a reference piece! Sewing test piece will be included with the. Listed items auto-graphed on request!
